The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) on Wednesday has urged motorists to be extra cautious while on the road due to poor visibility resulting from blowing dust.
According to a tweet by NCM, southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times will be causing the blowing of dust over the internal areas.
In a statement today, the NCM also warned of the poor visibility of less than 2,000 meters at times due to fresh winds with speed reaching up to 40 km/hr at times in various coastal and inland areas of the country until 11am Wednesday.
The NCM said winds with will continue affecting the sea, with wave heights ranging from 4 to 6 feet from 1:00am till 11:00am Wednesday.
The NCM has predicted fair to and partly cloudy weather for today, with a probability of some convective cloud formation over eastern and southern areas.
The maximum temperature during the day is expected to hover around 44 – 47°C along internal areas.
The maximum humidity would be 55 to 80 per cent across coastal, 40 to 60 per cent in interior regions and between 50 to 70 per cent in the mountains.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
