As part of its efforts to attract local talents, Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) participated in the Education City Career Fair 2019, which was held on 5 and 6 February. The fair provided an opportunity for the Bank to meet students and alumni from different educational institutions in Qatar and introduce them to Islamic Banking and QIB job opportunities.
Commenting on the participation, Khalefa Al Mesalam, QIB’s Head of Human Capital Group, said: “As part of our strategy to invest in local human resources, we make a point to participate in the annual career fairs that are organized in the country. The board of directors and executive management aligned the Bank’s business strategies with human resources to help attract young Qataris and prepare future financial experts who can contribute to the development of the banking industry in Qatar in line with National Vision 2030.”
He added: “Our programs to attract national talents proved to be highly successful over the past years. The Bank’s human resources strategy focuses on the development of Qatari employees through continuous training, helping them progress in their careers and assume leading positions in all business units.”
“The Education City Career Fair 2019 is a valuable opportunity for QIB human resources officials to meet with students. Our commitment to participating in such career fairs serves our objective of attracting talents and building a national workforce capable of leading the QIB business today and in the future,” he said.
