Qatar – The Public Works Authority “Ashghal” has signed five construction contracts for planned infrastructure and citizens’ sub-divisions projects in different areas.
The projects’ total value amounted to QAR 2.7 billion, and they will serve around 5,195 land plots, according to Ashghal’s recent statement.
“We are proud that all contractors that signed the five new contracts today are local contractors,” Saad bin Ahmad Al-Muhannadi, president of Ashghal, said.
Around eight projects for citizens’ sub-divisions will be tendered before the end of 2018 in Al Kharaitiyyat, Ezghawa, Al Ebb and Leabib, Al Mashaf South and Jaryan Njeima, the statement showed.
“Ashghal is giving a great importance to infrastructure projects in citizens’ sub-divisions in the coming period, and priority will be given to areas where groundwater levels are high and areas that lack drainage networks,” Saoud Ali Al-Tamimi, roads projects department manager of Ashghal, commented.
